From Engadget‘s coverage of the opening of AT&T‘s innovation foundry: “We got a brief demo of the ring in action, and came away fairly impressed. It’s lightweight, and we can see its secondary input functionality being put to good use in both games and productivity applications.”

From CNet News: “The Ringbow does solve a problem in an elegant way. Touch-screen apps generally have only limited ways to control them, so access to menu commands or secondary functions requires trips to full menus, which slows down the user.”

Proclaimed one of GIGAOM‘s 4 Israeli startups to watch, Ringbow’s presentation “elicited one of the biggest rounds of applause from the crowd.” Also: “Ringbow has created a universal “task ring” that links our fingers and our phones, adding mouse-button and other functionality but maintaining a touchscreen’s ease of use.”

From Gizmag: “…the ring-like device can be programmed to add extra capabilities to existing actions, activate entirely new touch options, or liberate the user’s hands from the surface of the display for Kinect-like, spatial control over touchscreen device operation… We’ll be keeping an eye on this promising technology”
